What would it be like for you to go 24 hours without any type of media? That means you would give up your:
cell phone
iPod
television
car radio
magazines
newspapers
computer
Xbox360
No texting, no music, no IMing, no Facebook, no video games.
Could you do it? Would it be possible? What do you think would happen? What would you miss the most? What would you do instead? What are your thoughts about this? How successful would our class be if I gave you the assignment to go 24 hours without media?
Yes I could do it...I have been grounded before from any electronics. And it was one of the years that I didnt have computer class.So ya I could do it easily it;s really not that hard to do.
ReplyDeleteI could make it. It is possible. I would be really bored, but I would go outside and ride my 4-wheeler or play basketball. I would miss everything especially my xbox. I don't think that anyone would do it. Everyone likes media too much to quit.
ReplyDeleteI did it before, I could do it again. Instead, I would be getting out and exercise. But, I would miss my phone the most because its my most communication with my friends and family. But it would be possible for me. All together as a class though going without 24 hours of media, some wouldn't last...Many people can't do it and thats fine. It is a tough assignment though. I would also miss my iPod. I love listening to music.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I can do that because I mostly go without most of those things.I would probably miss music the most.I think we should maybe try that sometime.I know that at least a few people could make it, but others couldn't.

ReplyDeletei honestly dont think i could live without any electronics. All i do at home, is listen to music, watch tv, or get on the computer. I would go crazy. i could live without my phone. Just not my Ipod. I dont really use my phone that much anyways. I might be able to live without facebook. It would be hard though
ReplyDeleteI would probably miss my ipod the most cause it helps me relaxing, but i am sure I could go 24 hours without it. i think i could do without those items but the last hour would feel like forever. I would problely go to my friends and we would talk the whole 24 hours just like we do over the phone. My thoughts are I wouldn't really like it but i have gone 2 weeks without those things before recenlty and I think i can handel it. I think some of don't have the self discipline.....sometimes i know i don't, but i can deal 24 hours without it.
ReplyDeleteI think that I could do it. Seeing how I'm grounder form my phone, but the thing I'll miss the most is my music. I would go on walks, ride my 4-wheeler, and have a friend over so we can talk to each other. I'm not for sure how successful are class would be on the assignment, but I think we would be okay at it.
ReplyDeleteI could go 24 hours without any kind of media. I do now. The only thing I would have a hard time giving up would be my music. It is possible to go without media. When you go without media you get a lot more stuff done t home and in school. I would be able to handle not having media but my mom would go crazy mainly without her cell phone. I would miss my music the most. Instead I would just make my noise by singing and banging pots together. My thoughts are that if we didn't have media then the world might be more peaceful because no one would argue over who gets to use this and that. I think our class would kind of be successful because some kids would use their phones anyways or their computers.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't do it the reason is because i have to talk to my people and i would have to have access to my games and myspace. I think it would be dumb not to have it cause you wouldn't know if there was a party that you was invited to. Also doing homework on paper instead of a computer when it is a computer class ya definitely could not do it. That is what i think.
ReplyDeleteI would be fine if I were unpluged. I would ride my bike or work on my motorized vehickles. My class probabibly would FAIL the assignment.
ReplyDeleteI would miss watching tv and using the internet for that 24 hours, but I wouldn't care because I would probably just read a book or find something else I could do. I don't think our whole class would be successful in doing that because most people depend on media too much, but there would be some people that would be able to make it.
ReplyDeleteI am positive that i could always go without electronics. I mean yea i wouldn't choose to do that. But, if i had too I could easily and entertainingly do it. I can live without things by entertaining myself with things like my dirt bike and playing in the woods. I might sleep a lot though because of boredom, but hey atleast i will survive!
ReplyDeleteI could do it. I have before. I could just go to a friends house and play a sport outside all day like I normally do when I go to friends houses. I would miss music the most. I listen to it all the time but if I was with friends then I probably wouldn't even care. I get grounded from my phone a lot anyway so it wont matter if its gone for 24 hours.
ReplyDeleteI know for sure I can go with out my electronics. Whenever i go camping with my dad the rule is no electronics. Usually we go camping for weeks at a time. The media I would miss the most would be my phone. When I don't have my cell phone or any media I would be outside playing volleyball. I would probably be sleeping a lot though.
ReplyDeleteI could do it, I've done it before. I might struggle with it at first but I can still have fun without all my electronics. I'd miss my phone the most because that's the most thing I use when I'm bored or when I want to talk to somebody, but I could live without it. When I was little, I still had a lot of fun without electronics like an ipod or a cell phone. I would probably just hang out with my friends, I already do that everyday. You can still be happy and have fun without media!
ReplyDeleteI could do it but it would be a pretty boring day. Instead of using electronics or anything I could go outside and fish or go swimming or something outside. If our class didn't have electronics I think everyone would fail because we have to use computers in computer class.
ReplyDeleteI know I could do that, it will just be extremely difficult. I would most likely miss music the most because I really enjoy listening to music. I would either sleep or go outside and take a walk. I think it is a good thing to do every once in a while, because if you do all of that too much you'll have a lot of weight problems. Honestly I think we wouldnt do well at all, reason why a lot of people are attached to their electronics so we would fail miserably.
ReplyDeleteI think that i could go without them because I haave done it before. Like while I stay at the camp grounds I have to do it. I normally take my phone and Ipod there but sometimes I forget. So it's not going to be that bad for me to do that. I mean I would rather not get rid of all that stuff but i gueess If I had to I would deal with it. Instead of doing all that stuff I could hang out with friends or go on a walk and just relax.I think if our class tried to do this only about 1/2 could do it, of that.
ReplyDeleteI could do it. I've gone camping without electronics, and It didn't really bother me any. I could find amusement in other things, like fishing or just enjoying the outdoors.I'd probably end up taking a ride on my boat or going on a jog around the block. So yes, I could go without any media for a day.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be easy to go without electricity. I never text, it's retarted. It honestly wouldn't be that hard to do. So yes, its possible. I would miss the computer and t.v. I would go play basketball or football. And if it was winter, build a snowman. I could also have a friend over. I think some of our class to do it. Colton needs his Call of Duty, and all the girls need their phones. We would fail.

I think I would be very bored but I thought about it and I would probably go outside and tan ,or walk to the beach. I would miss watching tv the most cause I always watch tv when I get bored. Because I can live without my phone for a day . I went on vacation for a week last year and my charger broke so I had no phone the whole time and it wasn't that bad. I would just go outside and find something to do with my younger siblings. I don't like the idea of being unplugged I would be very bored but its not the end of the world. I dont think our class could do it . I think maybe half of us could if that.
ReplyDeleteThis seriously would not be that hard. The only thing i use electronicly really is my xbox and ipod. I don't use my xbox a lot. I do use my ipod but I could live without it.
ReplyDeleteI think that I could do without just about every electronic for 24 hours or maybe longer. When I go to my dad's over the weekends and during the summer, every other week, I don't have my phone, i pod, or a computer to be on the whole time. I do watch T.V. when I'm there sometimes, although it's on a very rare occasion that I am able to. Mostly, we are outside doing something. Also, I have gotten grounded for sending, what my mom thinks, is too many text messages in a short amount of time.
ReplyDeleteI probably could make it through 24 hours without electronics. I could go outside and play kickball with my siblings or through a softball around. I don't have cell phone or an i-pod so it would not be that hard for me. I would also be sleeping for some of the time so I would not need any electronics. I could also go to the beach with my friends and just hang out so I won't be bored. Sometimes I just sit in my room and read a book if I am really interested in the book. The only hard thing for me would be not able to watch T.V. because that is all that I do at home on the weekend. I guess it would be kind of hard, but i think that I could do it.

If I had no media for 24 hours I would be with friends and be outside. I actually thing living without media for 24 hours would be fun. Our class would probably not do well if we had this assignment, because some people use media a lot.
ReplyDeleteUmmm.....I'm not going to say I couldn't do it but, it would be very difficult for me. I didn't really realize it but, I use a lot of technology during the day. TV, I could totally go without. I don't watch a lot of it anyway. Cell phone? It would be hard because I use it 24-7 but I could go without. One thing I cant go without though, is my iPod! Its like my best friend and music gets me though the day! I'm not a very happy camper because of the whole no electricity thing. I guess it would be hard to be "unplugged" but I could do it. I could go outside and do other things. Going 24 hours without media would be difficult to do for our generation because our life is built around technology.

I would get really really bored without listening to music because I listen to CDs on my stero or the radio all the time.I'm not so big on T.V, video games etc but I love listening to music. Sure I could make it with no problems but it would be really dull.For our class period, we basically wouldn't have a compuiter class--for 24 hours at least. I would read or write. I could survive without media ust find but I don't think I would be so well off without electricity. I have to have light--and coffee!
